Our lamb is mainly sourced from Coppice House Farm. The remainder is sourced from other local farms who share our welfare standards.

Breed

Our flock is mainly made up of traditional breeds including Suffolk , Texel X and Charolais. All our animals are free-range and are fed on a diet of hay, barley straw and corn and we forbid the use of growth-promoters or antibiotic feed.

Preparation

We take our animals to slaughter locally which helps reduce stress. The carcus is then stored in our large refrigerated unit and butchered onsite using traditional techniques.

Display counterLamb is a distinctive and flavoursome meat which combines wonderfully well with a whole variety of ingredients. To enjoy a really good lamb meal you need to be able to choose from a variety of cuts to suit the meal occasion. The versatility of lamb means that we are able to provide a wide range of lamb cuts including seasonal variations such as tender new season spring lamb and flavoursome mature autumn lamb. All products can be ordered in advance so should you require a certain item for that special occasion, please ask the shop staff.

Shoulder or Leg - Great for stews, casseroles and curries

Whole/Half Leg - Prime joint, fantastic for roasting

Whole, boned and rolled leg - A succulent tender roasting joint

Lamb Shanks - A well flavoured classic cut, perfect for slow cooking

Neck - A flavoursome cut which is ideal in soups and stews

Double Chop * - The wonderfully indulgent Barnsley Chop

Single/Loin and Best End Chop - Great for grilling or frying

Chump chops * - A thick chop ideal for grilling, frying or roasting

Lamb Cubes * - From the leg, perfect for pies, pasties and kebabs

Lamb Cutlets * - Traditionally used for Lancashire hotpot

Lamb Mince - Versatile, flavoursome and easy to cook

Leg Steaks * - Taken from the leaner part of the leg

Shoulder Steaks * - Full of flavour, slightly fattier than other steaks

Lamb Burgers * - Ideal for summer barbeques

*All suitable for cooking on a barbeque
