All our poultry and eggs are provided from a local poultry farmer whose livestock are reared non-intensively without the use of growth-promoters or antibiotic feed.

Chicken is versatile, relatively cheap and comes in a variety of cuts. Chicken is good to cook because its mild flavour doesn’t compete with the other ingredients.

Poultry products

The following products are normally available for purchase, prices and availability may vary so please enquire when visiting. All products can be ordered in advance so, should you require a certain item for that special occasion please ask the shop staff.

Whole Chicken – For a scrumptious roast dinner, try roasting with garlic and lemon.
Chicken Breast – Use it whole or cut into strips or cubes for stir-fries and kebabs.
Chicken Drumsticks * - Ideal for roasting or deep frying and can be used as finger food.

Chicken Thighs * – Perfect for casseroles and other slow-cooked dishes. Thighs can be stuffed or marinated to provide a richer flavour.
